The leadership of
Suzuki Philippines (SPH) has already announced the coming of the latest version of its subcompacts in the
all-new Suzuki Swift and
all-new Suzuki Dzire in the local market prior to its launch next month.
During the grand opening of the
Suzuki Auto Batangas City dealership, Suzuki Philippines Vice President and General Manager-Automobile Division
Shuzo Hoshikura invited the attendees to the launching of the all-new Suzuki Swift and Dzire, which is slated
on June 27.
Suzuki Philippines Assistant General Manager told CARMUDI PHILIPPINES that the specifications of the two of the best-selling models for the Japanese car brand will be similar to the one seen
at the Bangkok International Motor Show earlier this year.
Hoshikura said that the introduction of the latest models came after both has shown staggering sales output, saying that the Swift was
sold out last year.
Meanwhile, the newly-launched dealership is said to be the
30th Suzuki 3S showroom in the Philippines, and the
70th for the Japanese carmaker.
Aside from that, it is also the
Shaw Motor Corporation’s 10th Suzuki showroom and 5th 3S dealership. Shaw Motor Corporation is under the direct management of
Felix Limcauco III.
The showroom boasts a
1,400-square meter floor area that can house Suzuki's full vehicle lineup or up to 10 units.
Further, Hoshikura disclosed that Suzuki Philippines enjoyed a slight in sales for the first quarter of 2018, despite the implementation of Republic Act 10963, also known as the
Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law.
Achieving
21.4 percent year-to-date sales growth in March, SPH strengthens its presence in the market and sets its sight on continued uptick in the months to come. It hopes to continue moving up the industry sales charts after taking the
sixth position in local automobile sales, a step up from its seventh rank in the first quarter of 2017.
