Suzuki PH launches GSX-S1000GT

After bringing in the GSX1000 naked bike late last year, Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) recently unveiled its grand tourer version.

Called the Suzuki GSX-S1000GT, the motorcycle is basically like a sportbike with a higher stance, making it a very attention-grabbing ride.

Since it is a sport touring motorbike, the Suzuki GSX-S1000GT’s fairings, front cowl, windscreen and mirrors are designed to assure a high level aerodynamic efficiency while maximizing wind protection — elevating performance and riding comfort.

The 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT is powered by a 999cc four-stroke, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled double overhead cam (DOHC) engine that is mated to a six-speed transmission. As its looks suggests, the 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT is set to provide superbike-level performance, while meeting Euro 5 emission standards.

Despite the high engine displacement, the 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT is still a nimble everyday ride, thanks to its highly rigid yet lightweight frame.

Further, the ride comes with various technologies that many riders will surely appreciate.

The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) offers a host of advanced features that help optimize the motorcycle's performance characteristics to meet one’s riding style or level of experience, which makes it more controllable, predictable and less tiring.

Moreover, the 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT features a cruise control system to aid riders retain a certain speed without using the throttle to reduce fatigue during long-distance, highway journeys. The cruise control can be set at 30kph to 180kph while riding above 2,000rpm in second gear or higher.

Suzuki’s newest offering also comes with a five-mode traction control system, which sets the reaction time of the control to take effect, and a Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) that ensures smoother deceleration when downshifting.

The ride sits on six-spoke cast aluminum wheels fitted with Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 radial tires that are supported by KYB inverted front forks and link-type rear suspension.

Priced at P815,000, the 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT comes in three body color options: Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Reflective Blue, and Glass Sparkle Black.
