Suzuki PH launches V-Strom 250SX

With an aim to bolster its presence in the adventure segment, Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) has introduced the all-new V-Strom 250SX.

The model was officially launched following the teasers that the Japanese vehicle manufacturer’s local distributor posted over its social media pages. The introduction of the sport adventurer tourer expanded the local V-Strom lineup to three.

The all-new Suzuki V-Strom 250SX is 1,440 millimeters (mm) long, and 1,355mm tall with a 205mm ground clearance.

Just like its bigger brethren, the all-new Suzuki V-Strom 250SX sports a very rugged look to match its rider-focused features. 

The newly-introduced model shares its looks with the other “Master of Adventure” motorcycles, thanks to its tall windscreen, knuckle covers and the beak-like front that was inspired from the legendary DR-2 and DR-BIG models. It is also fitted with a rear carrier/grab bar that has a six-kilogram capacity and aluminum footrest covered with rubber to reduce vibration.

The illuminating parts of the all-new Suzuki V-Strom 250SX are fitted with LED.

The “toughness in a slender shell” is expressed through the slim and compact design that seems to have a protective layer. This also made the vehicle lightweight, making it easy to maneuver in the city or on unpaved roads.

Further, the all-new Suzuki V-Strom 250SX comes with a dual exit muffler, engine under cowling, a separate seat for pillion and sport-inspired graphics on the side panels.

Powering the all-new Suzuki V-Strom is the 249-cubic centimeter (cc), four-stroke, single-cylinder four-valve, fuel injected, single overhead cam engine that is said to provide torque at low revs and a smooth run up— making it perfect for beginners and veteran riders.

The powertrain also features the Suzuki Eco Performance and Suzuki Oil Cooling System that ensures low fuel consumption, durability and optimum engine performance.

Providing the stopping power are the dual-channel anti-brake lock system.

Dampening the ruts on the road are the telescopic front forks that dish out a 120mm suspension stroke and the swingarm type rear suspension with an adjustable seven-step preload. The vehicle sits on 19-inch wheels in the front and 17-inch tires at the back.

Available in two colors namely Champion Yellow and Glass Sparkle Black, the all-new Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX is priced at P229,000.
