Suzuki PH, MPBL tie up for 2022 finals

The motorcycle division of Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) has forged a partnership with Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

In a statement, the Japanese marque’s motorcycle arm said that it is the event’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) title sponsor for the year.

With this, SPH has the naming rights for the league’s best player that will be known as the “2022 Suzuki MPBL Most Valuable Player.”

Apart from that, the company will give a brand-new Suzuki Avenis to the season’s MVP award winner.

The 2022 MPBL National Finals between the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards and the Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines kicked off last December 2, which is a best-of-five series.

According to SPH, the company was also granted permission to conduct an on-ground product display of the all-new Suzuki Avenis and offer exciting deals for basketball fans and spectators alike at the game venue.

Further, SPH will host a halftime contest named the “Suzuki Avenis Half- court Shootout,” wherein a lucky, live audience patron has the chance to win the motorcycle dubbed as the "muscular and sporty scooter" if he or she can  sink a half-court shot during the break.

Here are the mechanics to win a brand-new Suzuki Avenis in the half-time show.

• Open to all MPBL 2022 Final Season live audience patrons, age 18 years old and above.
• Interested contest participants should register at the Suzuki pop-up booth located at the venue entrance.
• Each qualified, registered participant will be given a numbered stub as reference.
• During the halftime break, Suzuki Philippines will conduct a live electronic raffle draw to pick the two lucky contestants to play the Suzuki Avenis Half-court Shootout game.
• Participants should be present at the venue during the Suzuki Avenis Half-court Shootout game.
• Each participant should present their stub and an identification card as forms of validation to join the Suzuki Avenis Half-court Shootout.
• The chosen contestants will be given a chance to shoot the basketball from the half- court line twice.
• The contestant who will make a successful half-court shot shall win a brand-new Suzuki Avenis.

The Suzuki Avenis has a suggested retail price of P79,400 and comes in three colors: Pearl Mirage White/Metallic Fibroin Gray; Metallic Matte Black/Glass Sparkle Black; and Pearl Blaze Orange/Glass Sparkle Black.
