After introducing the all-new Celerio in the country, Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) will likely be bringing in the latest version of the Ertiga to the country soon.
Based on a tip shared to Carmudi Philippines, the seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle's (MPV) newest iteration "will hopefully arrive within the year or by first quarter of 2023."
But here’s the exciting part: the source also shared that the Japanese automotive distributor will likely offer the nameplate's hybrid option as well.
Should the information come true, the brand’s local arm will be joining the list of companies locally that pushes the use of alternatively-powered models and championing sustainable mobility.
To note, Maruti Suzuki introduced the next-generation Ertiga last month.
The vehicle's updated version in India comes with a 1.5-liter K-Series engine (that can deliver up to 102 horses and 137Nm of torque) matched to a six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The Ertiga's available power mill options include a smart hybrid system.
Further, the updated iteration of the model utilizes the highly-rigid yet lightweight Heartect platform.
