Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) is set to launch the all-new Celerio early next month.
The confirmation came after the Japanese compact car manufacturer shared an invite to Carmudi Philippines following the teaser posted on its official Facebook page.
“A new way to live it up is coming soon,” SPH said in the post. The darkened vehicle in the social media post reveals that the model’s exterior is very similar to the one rolled out in India by Maruti Suzuki India Limited in November last year.
Meanwhile, the invite for the launch is set on Friday next week (May 6).
The incoming iteration will replace the nameplate that received its last update in 2017.
No details as to the specifications and pricing have been shared to the press yet but if it would have what the India-spec version comes with, the forthcoming model will have K10C 998cc gasoline-fed power mill, which will be mated to either a five-speed manual gearbox or the Auto Gear Shift (AGS).
The forthcoming version of the hatchback offering is 3,695mm long, 1,655mm wide, and 1,555mm tall with a 2,435mm wheelbase.
Moreover, the market would highly welcome the seven-inch touch panel display audio with smartphone connectivity, steering mounted controls, engine push start button, which can also be found to its counterpart in India.
