After being previewed at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show last year, Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) will officially launch the hybrid version of the Ertiga.
Based on the invitation sent to Carmudi Philippines by the Japanese automaker’s local distributor, the upcoming introduction of the new Ertiga hybrid is set this coming January 16.
Earlier, Carmudi Philippines reported based on a tip that the aforementioned version of the seven-seater model will be brought in 2022 or by the first quarter of 2023."
While waiting for the official pricing and the specifications, here’s what one can find in the new Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid being retailed at neighboring country Indonesia.
The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid in Indonesia is fitted with a 1.5-liter K15B engine with mild-hybrid system (Smart Hybrid Technology), an integrated starter generator (ISG) and a lithium-ion battery pack. The powertrain has the capacity to dish out as much as 102 horsepower (hp) and 137Nm of pulling power. Its power mill is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
To reduce fuel consumption, the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid’s smart hybrid system in Indonesia is complemented by the automatic start/stop, regenerative braking as well as torque assist.
Aside from that, the forthcoming model displayed during the four-day motor show has a new front grille design bordered with automatic projector headlamps. The previewed version also features leather fitments in the seats, steering wheel and shift boot.
