Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines will reveal the Smash’s newest variant within the week.
According to Japanese marque’s local distributor, the forthcoming underbone’s latest trim shall be introduced on November 25.
While the company has yet to share pertinent details, the motorcycle might receive updates in the powertrain department. Carmudi Philippines is expecting that with the new variant, the four-stroke, single overhead cam, single-cylinder, two-valve, 113-cubic-centimeter engine (which still runs on carburetor system) might get a fuel-injected version.
Currently, the air-cooled powertrain — which is paired to a four-speed automatic clutch transmission — can deliver 8.6 horsepower and nine Newton-meters of torque.
Additionally, the upcoming Suzuki Smash’s new trim is expected to have the same dimensions 1,930 millimeters (mm) long, 655mm wide, and 1,040mm tall with a 1,240mm wheelbase and 130mm ground clearance.
Further, the Suzuki Smash’s latest variant could have disc brake at the front and drum brake at the back.
Currently, the Philippine-spec Suzuki Smash is offered in Candy Summer Red, new Titan Black, Pearl Bright Ivory, and Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray, as well as in two-tone options namely the Metallic Triton/Cool Silver and Candy Summer Red/new Titan Black. The prices of the existing Suzuki Smash 115 range from P62,400-P67,400.
