The new version — to be officially shown to the public at 6 p.m. tonight — is set to bolster its traction in the local market by eventually replacing the current 2WD trims with two 4WD variants.
SPH Vice President and General Manager for Automobile Division Keiichi Suzuki said that the launching of the newest offering follows strong sales numbers of the popular sub-compact SUV nameplate after the new design was offered locally.

One of the iconic models of the brand, this newest 4x4 vehicle provides individuality, stylish looks and added confidence on the road. This car will definitely encourage people to drive and bring more fun into their lives,” Suzuki said.
The Hungary-manufactured model is offered to “cater to the evolving needs of young and dynamic professionals as a reliable companion in exciting drives with family, friends, and the like.”
Among the noteworthy updates that the Suzuki Vitara AllGrip have are the AllGrip Technology and the infotainment system equipped with Clinometer function to inform the vehicle’s position in terms of pitch and roll angles.
The AllGrip technology “enables all types of users to feel assured in any driving situation.” “The driver can switch between the four modes of Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock depending on the road conditions and driving scenarios,” SPH added.
Powering the new Suzuki Vitara AllGrip is 1.6-liter engine paired to six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and paddle shifters.
On the outside, the new Suzuki Vitara AllGrip showcases a bold and athletic look by retaining the traditional clamshell bonnet while adding front and rear skid plates, a front lower bumper garnish, chrome and black grained accents on the body’s side, and an improved rear edge spoiler. It also sports LED headlamps for low-beam with daytime running lights and a vertical chrome grille to achieve a more modernized look.
Aside from the clinometer in the infotainment system with smartphone connectivity function, the new Suzuki AllGrip has an instrument panel that features a muscular console including a round-faced clock and a round air outlet and panoramic sunroof.
The new Suzuki Vitara Allgrip has an automatic wiper, light system and dimming rear view mirrors, rear camera and parking sensors, and a keyless Push-Start System for its assistive features.
Further, the new Vitara AllGrip is mounted with six airbags, hill descent and hill hold control, brake assist function, electronic stability program and cruise control system with speed limiter as well as pedestrian protection feature.
