Suzuki to highlight NEV Burgman models at 2023 Japan Mobility Show
Suzuki revealed that it will showcase the electric- and hydrogen-powered models of the Burgman scooter at the upcoming 2023 Japan Mobility Show (JMS).

Not much is said regarding its specifications, but the Japanese motorbike brand noted that the Suzuki e-Burgman is the equivalent of the 125 cubic centimeter (cc) engine-equipped model of the nameplate.

In the Philippines, both the Suzuki Burgman Street and Burgman EX are fitted with a 125cc motor with the latter sporting a few extra features, such as its TE37-ish wheels with wider tires and more upmarket finish.
To note, Carmudi Philippines was able to test the Suzuki Burgman EX through the company’s media ride from Laguna to Batangas. The small-displacement scooter performed admirably, which is why we’re excited for the electric version of the Burgman scoot.
On top of the Suzuki e-Burgman, the Shizuoka-headquartered marque said that it will also bring a hydrogen-powered model of the motorcycle to the forthcoming mobility expo.
Unlike the Suzuki e-Burgman though, the hydrogen-fueled model is based on the 400cc version of the bike. It will be fitted with a 70-megapascal hydrogen tank and hydrogen engine.
Suzuki has been conducting research and development of hydrogen engines as one of the multi-pathway initiatives for realizing carbon neutrality, which is why at the same booth, the brand will display an information panel and test ride video, introducing its initiatives for hydrogen engines.
The 2023 JMS will run from October 26-November 5, 2023.
