Suzuki has revealed two new motorcycles, the V-Strom 800DE and the GSX-8S.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What powers both the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE and the Suzuki GSX-8S?

Both the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE and the Suzuki GSX-8S are powered by a 776cc liquid-cooled two-cylinder DOHC engine mated to a six-speed transmission.
  • When will the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE and the Suzuki GSX-8S become available?

The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE and the Suzuki GSX-8S will be available in February 2023.
  • The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE joins the brand’s current lineup of adventure bikes. It is powered by a 776 cubic capacity (cc) liquid-cooled two-cylinder dual overhead cam (DOHC) engine mated to a six-speed transmission.

It is also equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S) electronic control system for various riding conditions. The G (gravel) mode in the traction control system and cancellable anti-lock brake system (ABS) for the rear brake allow riders to take control of the motorbike over gravel roads according to their preferences.

The adjustable front and rear suspensions, large-diameter 21-inch front wheels, and semi-block pattern tires add to its off-roading capabilities.

While carrying on the tradition of the V-Strom series, the lines of the bodywork are made sharper with bold accent color parts at the tip of the front cowling and below the 20-liter fuel tank.

On the other hand, the GSX-8S naked motorcycle is aimed at riders treading the paved path. Unlike, the abovementioned V-Strom 800DE, the GSX-8S is through and through a street bike.

It has a smaller 14-liter fuel tank, KYB inverted front forks with a 130 millimeter (mm) stroke, adjustable KYB link-type rear suspension, and 17-inch wheels shod in Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tires.

    Nevertheless, it also has a 776cc liquid-cooled two-cylinder DOHC engine and a six-speed transmission.

Per Suzuki, both the V-Strom 800DE and the GSX-8S will be available in February 2023 and will be launched primarily in Europe and North America.
