The SYM Jet X is powered by a four-valve, 150 cubic capacity, liquid-cooled engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. How much is the SYM Jet X?
The SYM Jet X is priced at P135,800.Design-wise, the SYM Jet X 150 appears to have borrowed looks from the country’s segment staples. At its fore are striking headlamps that sort of mimic the angular headlights found on the Honda Airblade 160 while its side profile resembles that of the Yamaha Aerox 155.
Notable exterior features include an all-LED lighting setup, a pair of 14-inch wheels shod with beefy city tires, premium non-slip seats, a decent-sized utility box that can fit a half-face helmet, and cleverly-designed pillion ride step bars that look like they’re a part of the scooter’s side fairings when folded.
Upon sitting on the SYM Jet X 150, riders will be greeted by a full-digital instrument panel that displays relevant riding information in crisp detail — even in broad daylight. On the bottom right side of the motorbike’s naked handlebar is an illuminated keyless ignition system while a small glove compartment, with a USB port inside, can be found on the left side.
The SYM Jet X 150 is equipped with a four-valve, 150 cubic capacity, liquid-cooled engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. On paper, this setup is said to make 12.3 horsepower with 12Nm of torque.
Stopping power comes from two disc brakes, front and rear. It also makes use of SYM’s combi brake system, for safer rides. Suspension-wise, the SYM Jet X 150 gets telescopic forks at the front and adjustable dual shock absorbers at the rear.
For a 150cc scooter, the SYM Jet X 150 appears to have a somewhat expensive price tag of P135,800. For comparison’s sake, the Honda Airblade 160 is priced at P125,900 while the Yamaha Aerox 155 has a sticker price of P124,000.
