Team Carmudi expect a comeback at FORS 3rd leg
Team Carmudi Philippines is expecting to have a great comeback as it enters the 3rd leg of the Flat Out Race Series (FORS) on May 9, 2015 at the Clark International Speedway. About a month ago, the team’s ace racer 16-year-old Polo Bautista snatched his first podium finish getting away with a 3rd place finish in the “time trial” Bracket D division.
The second leg of the eight race series was held at the Batangas Racing Circuit where the young Slalom and Circuit racer champion made his first crucial mark in the series. Bautista also finished strong on the opening rounds of force posting a 5th place finish which was also held in Clark racing track.
“I just need to be more consistent on my performance, step up more and grab every opportunity for a better standing. It’s a long series, but I think every leg counts and while you can’t win them all it is important to do your best every single time,” said Bautista.
The teen racer hopes that he will not encounter intrusions like what happened on the last leg of the race series where he accidentally bumped a car when the latter had a full stop. Bautista damaged his car’s radiator forcing him to retire the car early. “We already have it fixed and its business as usual for me,” he said.
The Team recently won as the best sports car inspire award during the Hot Import Nights rolled out last April 25-26 at the Metrotent and open grounds of Metrowalk Commercial Complex in Ortigas.
