Painted in a brooding Vesuvius Grey exterior with black details, the car is footed with bronze 20-inch wheels, which combines with the bronze contrast stitching in the interior to give the car its distinct Bronze Edition look. It is a polishing of sorts for the super Avant, trimming down on that model’s flared and muscle-bound stance while refining its other areas.

Exterior-wise, the façade sports a high gloss black finish for the Singleframe grille and front air intake surrounds, which are complemented by a matte carbon lip spoiler. At the sides, blacked-out roof rails and window surrounds matched with matte carbon mirror housings give the car an aura of mystery, while matte carbon diffuser with a high gloss black insert at the rear complete the car’s overall dark impression.

Step into the car and the contrast between the black Fine Nappa leather and bronze stitching is immediately noticeable. Leather elements have also been embedded to the center console, armrests, steering wheel, and gear lever gaiter—all trimmed with bronze stitching as well. Carbon detailing is also carried through from the exterior into the matt carbon twill inlays which perfectly complement the contrast-stitched leather.

The RS 4 Avant Bronze Edition is further identified by an assortment of packages, such as the standard Comfort and Sound Pack that includes the Advanced Key system, which enables the keyholder to unlock and open the car by simply lifting each door handle without needing the key in-hand, and also brings electric hands-free opening for the powered tailgate, enabling access to up to 1,495 liters of luggage space by simply touching a foot on a sensor mounted in the rear bumper underside.

As for basic equipment, the RS 4 Avant Bronze Edition comes with all the standard features of the base model and includes matrix LED headlights, MMI Navigation Plus, and massaging front seats into the mix, coupled with the Audi Virtual Cockpit with RS-specific screens and Audi Phonebox wireless handset charging.

The 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen display, the heart of the latest RS 4 cabin, is angled slightly towards the driver for added user-friendliness. The touch-sensitive screen provides acoustic feedback and takes over the functions of the previous rotary pushbutton on the center console. The driver can use the RS monitor to call up an overview of drive system component temperatures, maximum g-forces and information regarding tire pressures and temperatures.

In the Audi virtual cockpit, the special RS displays provide information on tire pressure, torque, power output, engine oil temperature, lap timings, acceleration measurements and g-forces.

Power is provided by a Audi’s very own 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 TFSI engine that offers up 444 hp and 600 Nm of torque that flows to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system via an eight-speed tiptronic transmission. A shift light display prompts the driver to upshift upon reaching a specific gear’s rev limit. The new RS modes are easily accessible via steering wheel-mounted buttons, making it easier than ever for the driver to set the car up to suit his or her mood or driving route.

For those salivating over the Audi RS 4 Avant Bronze Edition, unfortunately, the RS 4 family is not available in the Philippines. Not that it matters, as production of this special edition model is limited to just 25 units.
