In its bid to meet customer demands, Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) announced that the Tiggo 7 Pro is now Android Auto-compatible.
Newly appointed United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) President Erroll Dueñas expressed excitement over the latest feature that enhances connectivity on the vehicle’s infotainment system.
"We are always on the lookout when it comes to adapting technologies that make driving more enjoyable for everyone," Dueñas was quoted as saying.
"Equipping our bestselling Chery Tiggo 7 Pro with Android Auto is something our customers will surely appreciate," he added.
A smartphone mirroring device, Android Auto allows drivers to focus on the road while giving access to a mobile device’s GPS navigation, music playback, text messages and calls.
CAP shared that to activate the feature on the current Tiggo 7 Pro models, owners must book an appointment through their preferred dealership or via Chery Auto PH App. The activation of the feature will be done by the dealership's aftersales staff for free.
Further, the local distributor of the Chinese automaker shared that Android Auto will also be available for other Tiggo models like the Tiggo 2, Tiggo 5X and Tiggo 8, all of which currently use QD Link for Android connectivity. “Chery will announce the date of Android Auto availability for those models soon,” the statement noted.
"We're confident that this much-anticipated infotainment upgrade will make the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro even more appealing to its target market," Dueñas said.
Aside from Android Auto, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is fitted with a 10.25-inch high-definition touchscreen, automatic tailgate opening, touch-panel AC controls, panoramic sunroof, multi-color ambient lighting, push-button electronic parking brake, N95 cabin filter, electronic gear shift lever, 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system, among other features.
Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter turbocharged DOHC 16-valve Euro 5-compliant four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Its suite of safety features include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Electronic Brake Assist (EBA), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Assist Control (HDC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), and Isofix child-seat tethers.
Further, the vehicle is packaged with the industry-leading 10-year/1 million-kilometer (km) engine warranty, a five-year/150,000-km general vehicle warranty, free three years preventive maintenance service (PMS), and three years roadside assistance.
