The Geely Coolray is now available in Sunburst Gold and Cloud Blue

Geely Philippines has announced that its Geely Coolray is now available in two new youthful hues: Sunburst Gold and Cloud Blue.   

The latest paint options now give buyers of the popular crossover seven colors to choose from — adding to Vermillion (Red), White, Silver, and Orange (for the Sport and Sport Limited variants only) and Blue (for the Premium and Comfort variants only).

The two newest colors are made available in specific trims — the Sunburst Gold for Sport Limited and Cloud Blue for Premium and Comfort.

 “The Coolray remains to be the most in demand model in the Geely lineup and a top-seller in its segment. With the recent introduction of the Coolray Sport Limited, we are further enhancing its appeal by adding new exterior colors. Sunburst Gold will be available for the Sport Limited variant only while the Cloud Blue will be available for the Premium and Comfort variants only,” Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) President and Chief Executive Officer Yosuke Nishi was quoted as saying.  

The Geely Coolray (the pioneer model that helped the brand re-established it presence in the country two years ago) has already rolled out 2,690 units as of November 2021 and has been leading the two-wheel-drive subcompact sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment after cornering 35 percent of the market.

“The Coolray has been the popular choice not only for the young but also for anyone who is looking for a sporty, cool, and fun subcompact SUV to drive for their exciting adventures with friends and family,” the company noted.

The recently-launched Sport Limited variant (which only has 1,000 units locally) sports three new features: the 18-inch black turbine-inspired wheels, power tailgate with height memory adjustment, and ventilated front seats with three-level air supply intensity that can be independently adjusted to the driver or passenger’s preference.

Powering every Coolray variant is the 1.5-liter turbocharged direct injection engine paired to a seven-speed wet type dual clutch transmission that can deliver up to 175hp and 255Nm of torque.

“The additional features and color options we recently introduced for the Coolray is our way of telling everyone that we will never stop improving and bringing fun back in driving,” Nishi added.
