Honda UK collaborated with motorcycle designer and builder Guy Willison to build a special edition, classic endurance racer-inspired CB1000R 5Four.
Based on the CB1000R, which Honda said is a combination of a sport naked and café racer, the CB1000R 5Four takes inspiration from Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) racing motorcycles from the 1970s and '80s. Only 54 examples of the 5Four bike will be built.
Willison is the managing director of 5Four Motorcycles, a producer and restorer of motorcycles. He also appears in TV shows such as The Motorbike Show and Find It, Fix It, Flog it.
The CB1000R 5Four is finished in HRC racing colors of red, blue, and white, Up front, the headlight cowl was fashioned out of a composite material, and bears the Limited Edition badge and the individual number.
Out back, there's an LED taillight mounted high up with the plate number recess to show the entire rear tire. That also gives the CB1000R 5Four's track-only Racefit Growler X titanium exhaust more exposure, too, as with the standard bike's single-sided swingarm.
The black multi-spoked wheels are new, and the brake and clutch levers from the base bike are replaced with adjustable levers with red adjusters, so as to match the mirrors. A quickshifter is a unique addition to the CB1000R 5Four.
Each bike will come with a signed certificate of authenticity, and owners can option Willison's signature painted on the tailpiece. Honda UK said the café racer goes for £16,954 (around P1.188 million).
The CB1000R is powered by a 998cc liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder engine that makes 144hp of power and 104Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
It's also made from a lightweight mono-backbone steel frame, wears radial-mounted dual disk brake, Showa Separate Fork Function Big Piston (SSF-BP), Ride Mode, Full LCD display, and throttle-by-wire tech.
