Modena Motorsports, Inc. (Maserati Philippines) officially launches the brand’s first hybrid offering in the Philippines, the Ghibli Hybrid.
The local arm of the Italian carmaker welcomed the hybrid executive sedan in the Philippines via a virtual event streamed live on Facebook.
Modena Motorsports President Sam Versoza, said that the Ghibli Hybrid is a milestone for Maserati and that it signifies the brand’s first step into electrification. He added that in the next four years, Maserati is planning to electrify its offerings.
The Philippine-spec Maserati Ghibli Hybrid wears blue accents on the sedan’s iconic triple side air vents, its Brembo brake calipers, and on the stitching lining its interior. It also wears a refreshed front grille and redesigned boomerang-styled taillights.
Similar blue accents are found inside from the interior stitching, the Maserati branding on the headrests, as well as on the door panels. Likewise, the interior of the sedan is accentuated by blue ambient lighting.
Tech-wise, it offers a 10.1-inch infotainment system and a stylish mix of analog and digital elements on the instrument panel.
Under the hood, the locally released Ghibli Hybrid sports a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s paired with a 48V BSG (belt-starter generator) motor and is mated to an eight-speed automatic tranny.
The hybrid powertrain makes 325 horses and 450Nm of torque.
The Maserati Ghibli Hybrid is priced at P6.99 million.
