Hyundai wants business owners to meet growing logistics demands with the H-100 light commercial vehicle (LCV)

Enterprises can choose among the Hyundai H-100's six variants, which have a price range of P965,000 to P1.078 million. Available either as a cargo or passenger van, the H-100 is powered by a 2.5-liter Euro 4-compliant diesel engine, which has  128hp and 254Nm of torque. The mill is paired with a six-speed manual. 

The Korean LCV is also underpinned by a double wishbone and torsion bar springs at the front, and semi-elliptical laminated leaf springs at the rear. 

But as you look into the pros and cons of the H-100, you'd learn there's more about this truck. 

Pros

1. Impressive statistics

The H-100's 1,080 kilogram load capacity will make sure that goods and passengers will be transported safely and efficiently. At 4,955 millimeters long, whatever may be transported won't be stuffed into the cargo hold. 

For better stability on the road, a long wheelbase of 2,430 millimeters (mm) will do the trick. A ground clearance of 185mm will allow the H-100 to do its job on rougher roads. 

2. Comfortable

Being a workhorse, riding and driving the H-100 isn't expected to be a cosseting experience, but Hyundai didn't forget air-conditioning (which some H-100 variants do without.) The AC will cool the occupants of the front cab, as well as the passengers in their cabin (when the passenger hold is optioned). 

3. Safe and tough

With a safety feature called Load-Sensing Proportioning Valve (LSPV), the truck will be kept stable during braking. 

The H-100 models are also proudly assembled at the Hyundai Assembly and Logistics Operations Center (HALO) in Laguna. There, the LCV undergoes a seven-dip Electrodeposition (ED) Process to make their bodies resistant to rust and corrosion.

Unlike other commercial vehicle brands that only offer up to a three-year warranty, the H-100 is said to come with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty for the cab and chassis.

1. Outdated body

Despite the presence of the LSPV, the cab being over the front wheels may be a safety concern, as there's no hood to cushion a potential frontal collision.
