Basic, fully loaded, and sporty. Perhaps these are the qualities Toyota wanted its Vios to have, given that it made the sedan available in 10 variants, with each tailored to fleets, the tech-savvy, and keen drivers.
Those 10 variants are summed up by these grades: the Base, J, XE, XLE, E, G, and the Gazoo Racing Sport (GR-S) Vios. Prices start at P681,000 and end at P1.02 million. The Vios offers a set of colors that reflect the quality of each variety.
Super White II
The Vios' most basic form takes on a clean color, which is available on Base, J, and XE grades. These grades wear 14-inch steel rims, black door handle and sideview mirrors.
Silver Metallic
Available from Base to E grade, this color exudes a safe aura. On the topic of safety, all Vios grades are fitted with Isofix seat mounts and child locks on the rear doors.
Alumina Jade Metallic
The classy and calming shade of green can be seen from J to G Vios grades. For the benefit of animals, select Vios cars do away with leather in their seats and use fabric instead.
Red Mica Metallic
Not only is red associated with an Italian marque's supercars, but it's also said to be the most visible color from a distance. J to E grades can be had in Red Mica. LED fog lights from XLE variant and up enhance nighttime visibility.
Blackish Red Mica
Those who want a discreet yet unique color may consider this savvy black/red combo, exclusive on the Vios XLE and E. For the tech-savvy folk, these variants share a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment with phone mirroring as with its siblings.
Grayish Blue Mica Metallic
This shade, optional on the Vios XLE, E, and G, combines the cool atmosphere of blue and the calmness of gray. An automatic climate control keep the cabin chilly in the G grade. Lower varieties use manual aircon.
Black I and Super Red V
In the all-singing, all-dancing Vios GR-S, this dark hue creates a monochromatic effect with its 16-inch GR alloy wheels, piano black grille, door handles, and side mirrors. Super Red V is also a G and GR-S speciality.
Meanwhile, Black 1 highlights the silver bits of the XLE, E, and G cars.
White Pearl Crystal Shine
This shining color, optional on the Vios G and GR-S, could almost cost as much as the pearls in jewelry at P15,000. In the Vios G, the color reflects its top-trim status, while in the GR-S, it becomes as sporty in looks as the GR Yaris.
To maximize the 106hp and 140Nm of torque from the 1.5-liter engine, the Vios GR-S packs an exclusive 10-speed CVT transmission.
