Toyota has revealed the 2024 United States (US)-market Camry.
Currently in its eighth design generation, the Toyota Camry now sports a new look that helps further define its comfort- and sport-oriented variants.
Per the US wing of Toyota, the former grades (photo shown at the banner) offer a more defined lower intake area and are equipped with comfortable 17-inch alloy wheels while the latter trim levels (photo shown below) wear a bold lower fascia shape featuring a honeycomb style grille and side vent inserts — plus side vent accents — and are fitted with sportier 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the lower variants of the 2024 Toyota Camry sport fabric-trimmed seats with interior color choices that include Ash, Macadamia, or Black. As for the range-topping models, would-be owners can expect appointments such as perforated leather seats as well as interior hues in the aforementioned tones.
Toyota revealed that it is also offering its US customers a performance-tuned Camry TRD (Toyota Racing Development) model. It flaunts an exclusive, aero-enhanced design with a gloss-black front splitter, side aero skirts, and rear diffuser with red pinstriping, and gloss-black pedestal rear spoiler.
Inside, the 2024 Toyota Camry TRD gets seats with Sport SofTex upholstery (with red stitching) and red-stitched TRD logos on its headrests.
In the area of in-car technology, the 2024 Toyota Camry gets a seven-inch instrument cluster, a floating seven or nine-inch multimedia touch-screen display, and a 10-inch color head-up display for select variants.
And while we’re on the topic of variant-specific amenities, higher models in the variant hierarchy also come with a JBL 800-watt, nine-speaker premium audio with a subwoofer.
Power for the 2024 Toyota Camry comes from a wide range of options that are consisted of a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force, 3.5-liter V-6, and the Toyota Hybrid System (THS II). The 2.5-liter and 3.5-liter internal combustion engine-equipped models are equipped with a Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission while the hybrid model is outfitted with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission.
Performance-wise, the 2.5-liter-equipped models make up to 203 to 206 horsepower (hp) while the 3.5-liter-fitted models make as much as 301 horses. Meanwhile, the hybrid versions are said to make around 208hp.
In the US, the 2024 Toyota Camry is offered in six variants, namely LE, SE, SE Nightshade, XSE, XLE, and TRD. Priced from US$26,420 (around P1.445 million) to $33,485 (approximately P1,831 million), the eight-gen Camry is expected to arrive in the US in August.
