The 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid is priced from US$22,800 (P1.342 million) to $26,600 (P1.566 million).According to Toyota, the four new trims are the Corolla Hybrid LE all-wheel-drive (AWD), the new sporty Corolla Hybrid SE and SE AWD, and a premium-focused Corolla Hybrid XLE variant. The arrival of the four new trims for MY 2023 effectively expands the nameplate’s offering, which was only one (Corolla Hybrid LE) for MY 2022.
Toyota’s five-car Corolla Hybrid lineup now adopts the new front fascia styling seen in the internal combustion engine (ICE)-powered Toyota Corolla sedan. They now wear new LED headlights, a lower grille with a glossy black mesh pattern, and a sporty rear diffuser.
The LE variants drop their 15-inch steel wheels in favor of larger 16-inch wheels. SE grades, on the other hand, get new 18-inch graphite-colored alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the XLE trim dons all-new 10-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels with a silver finish.
Inside, the 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid gets seats finished in either cloth or SofTex material. The sporty SE grades get front seats with shoulder supports resembling bucket seats.
Standard on all grades is the next-generation eight-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia System designed and engineered by Toyota’s Texas-based Connected Technologies team. Per the automotive brand, this new system provides a wide range of enhanced connectivity and convenience features and is over-the-air (OTA) updatable.
The new Toyota Audio Multimedia System allows dual Bluetooth phone connectivity, with support for standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
For the Corolla Hybrid SE and XLE grades, the audio experience goes to a higher level with the available JBL Premium Audio system with nine speakers, including an 800-watt (W) amplifier and a 10-inch subwoofer.
The XLE grade also comes standard with the JBL Premium Audio Plus Wireless Charger package.
Toyota also announced a special Infrared Edition SE — available in both front-wheel-drive (FWD) and AWD — further expanding the Corolla Hybrid range. As a bit more icing on the cake, the sporty new Corolla SE Hybrid grades inherit the ICE SE’s sport suspension and the firmer-feel Electronic Power Steering.
Accentuating the edgier version are unique red trims found both inside and outside the vehicle. Other features include the 18-inch Gloss Graphite-colored alloy wheels, a red-stitched shift handle, as well as red-accented floor mats and door trim.
The 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid is priced from US$22,800 (P1.342 million) to $26,600 (P1.566 million).
