Toyota enjoys 2.9% sales increase, 1.5% production growth in November 2022
Toyota announced that the company enjoyed an increase in sales and production for the month of November 2022 compared to the same month in 2021.

The brand produced 833,104 globally in November 2022.Per the Japanese automotive brand, the said results were achieved due to solid demand for Toyota’s products, primarily in North America. In addition, a rebound from the impact of parts supply shortages associated with the spread of COVID-19 in Southeast Asia in the previous year.
In November 2022, Toyota achieved global sales amounting to 796,484 units, which translates to a 2.9 percent increase compared to its sales in November 2021. About 109,985 of which were sold in Japan, while 686,499 were sold outside the Land of the Rising Sun.
Hino, a Toyota subsidiary, sold 12,166 units in the same month. The heavy-duty truck and bus company sold 2,218 vehicles in Japan and 9,948 outside of the country.
Similarly, Toyota-owned Daihatsu sold 75,462 units in November with 60,259 sold inside the country while 15,203 were sold overseas.
Production-wise, the Aichi-based marque made 833,104 units in November 2022, which is a 1.5-percent growth compared to its production results in November 2021. Toyota said that 266,174 cars from the said figure were produced in Japan while 566,930 were built at the firm’s foreign facilities. Hino produced 17,222 in November last year while Daihatsu built a total of 132,226 vehicles.
When it comes to exports, the Toyota brand exported 164,212 cars while Hino exported 6,555 units.
“The situation remains difficult to predict due to semiconductor shortages and COVID-19. However, we will continue to carefully monitor the parts supply situation and minimize sudden decreases in production as much as possible while making every effort to deliver as many vehicles to our customers at the earliest date,” Toyota said in a press release.
