Toyota, Hino hire TMP Tech graduates
Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology (TMP Tech) announced that it has completed its pilot dispatch of automotive technicians for Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Hino Motors, Ltd. (Hino) dealerships across Japan.

According to TMP, more than 200 TMP Tech graduates are now working abroad.In a statement, TMP said that a total of 26 graduates were deployed from March to May while 42 more will be sent to Japan within the year.
The leading local automotive manufacturer said that TMP Tech is the latest training-to-employment program that provides opportunities in the global Toyota Network.
“This program will continue to provide the two Japanese partners with a stable pipeline of highly skilled technicians trained under Toyota standards. With the first batches of dispatched graduates, TMP Tech have filled-in technical intern requirements in 16 prefectures of Japan,” TMP noted, pertaining to the strategic partnerships with TMC and Hino.
The company shared that TMP Tech’s advanced and fast-track curriculum has equipped graduates with Toyota-specific courses to complement the training received from local Toyota dealers.
Further, students of TMP Tech also underwent additional courses such as Japanese language and culture training as part of their two-year General Job Automotive Servicing Course requirements.
The program will enable students to “better adapt to Japanese work environments and in serving the market needs.”
Moreover, the dispatched graduates also have the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) national certifications, which is equivalent to Pro-Technician level of the globally-known Toyota Education Automotive Mastery for the 21st century (TEAM21) training program.
Currently more than 200 TMP Tech graduates have been employed overseas, including those who completed the training programs for global Toyota partners in Japan, the State of Qatar, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Established in 2013, TMP Tech was jointly initiated by TMC honorary chairman Dr. Shoichiro Toyota and TMP founding chair Dr. George S.K. Ty to become a world-class automotive technical education institution.
