Toyota Indonesia unveils latest GR lineup
Toyota Indonesia just dropped its latest GR lineup which covers everything from the brand’s subcompact hatchback to its SUV offerings.
The newest Gazoo Racing models were announced on Toyota Indonesia’s various social media accounts including its Twitter and Facebook pages.
Featured are five models which include the hot hatches Toyota Yaris GR Sport and Toyota Agya (locally known as the Wigo) GR Sport. Toyota’s MPV offering, the Veloz GR Limited (called Avanza in the Philippines), is joined by the Toyota Rush GR Sport, and the Toyota Fortuner GR Sport SUVs.
The Indonesian-spec Yaris GR Sport features a wide honeycomb grille flanked by LED headlamps and LED foglamps on each side. At the rear is a striking bumper diffuser complementing the aerodynamic spoiler with a high-mount stop lamp.
The same can be said with the Agya. It also packs a striking front fascia paired with a combination of LED headlights and foglights. At the rear is also a diffuser which looks good with the rear spoiler and the J-shaped rear lamps.
Both hatchback models ride on alloy wheels and feature plenty of “GR” branding on the exterior.
Getting the GR treatment is also the Veloz GR Limited. While the hatchbacks showcase a honeycomb grille, the Veloz comes with a horizontal design with a special GR badge. A long line connects the LED headlamps while faux air intakes sit atop the front foglamps.
At the rear is a bumper diffuser with two reflectors and faux air intakes that mirror what’s at the front. A specially designed panel for the license plate sits at the bottom of the horizontal accent that connects the combination rear lamps.
The Veloz GR Limited sports black outer mirrors and black alloy wheels.
Toyota Indonesia’s GR-spec Rush offers a black chrome grille flanked by advanced LED headlamps and a front bumper spoiler. Integrated LED rear combination lamps provide illumination at the back of the crossover SUV and GR branded diffusers echo the styling of the Toyota Rush at the front.
At the side is a smart entry feature that allows owners to enter the SUV with ease. Side body moldings also accentuate the Rush GR Sport’s side profile together with automatic side mirrors and a 17-inch alloy wheel.
Taking the GR style to bolder and more dominating heights is the Fortuner GR Sport. It offers a grater-like dark chrome grille coupled with LED headlamps. Honeycomb patterns adorn the sides of the LED front foglamps.
At the rear is a relatively bold diffuser with sharp LED rear lamps and a power tailgate with a kick sensor.
The Yaris GR is priced at IDR248,300,000 while the Agya GR Sport is at IDR144,900,000. On the other hand, the Rush GR Sport comes with a price tag of IDR245,000,000 while the Fortuner GR Sport has a sticker price of IDR484,600,000. Lastly, the Veloz GR Limited spots an IDR221,400,000 price tag on Toyota Indonesia’s website.
Her in the Philippines, Toyota's GR-spec offerings include the Vios GR-S and the GR Supra.
