Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially launched the latest generation of the Avanza nameplate, which has been in the country since 2006.
Prior to the latest unveiling, TMP made the last refresh for the model in 2019.
According to TMP, the all-new Toyota Avanza is strategically positioned as the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that is “fit for the fam, guaranteed to bring the joy of driving and more happiness on the road.”
TMP said that the buyers of the seven-seater model — now on its third generation — can enjoy “better value-for-money features and striking design upgrades.”
“The Philippines loves commercial vehicles or CVs. Through the years, MPVs have served as a practical choice for the day-to-day needs of Filipino families,” TMP President Atsuhiro Okamoto said during the vehicle launch.
“And we love giving our customers choices! That is why, we are reintroducing our reliable, tried-and-tested model in the compact MPV segment. I am sure this full model change of this well-loved family car will bring more happiness for all,” he added.
For its exterior, the all-new Toyota Avanza sports a “sleek and active” design with its split-type LED headlamps and 16-inch alloy wheels for the top-of-the-line offering.
Convenient features are also made available in the all-new Toyota Avanza, with its push start button system, a 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display for the top-tier variety, and auto-fold side mirrors for up to the middle grade. To heighten the luxury experience in the cabin, the all-new Toyota Avanza is tailored with a two-tone seat material.
Further, it also has a flexible seven-seat configuration with a Long Sofa Mode feature and an ample luggage space.
Powering the vehicle is either a 1.5- or a 1.3 liter normally aspirated engine paired to a manual or continuously variable transmission.
The all-new Toyota Avanza is furnished with an eight-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for the upper trims, as well as USB ports for mobile device charging.
For its safety features, the all-new Toyota Avanza is armed with a back camera and back sensor for the middle- to top-option while the top variant is presented with a Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Camera Traffic Alert. Moreover, the people mover gets as many as six airbags, depending on the variant.
