The Toyota Lite Ace has made its return to the Philippine market — and is under a different category.
Unveiled last Friday at Farmer’s Plaza in Araneta City, Quezon City, the then-minivan offering from Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is now a light commercial vehicle (LCV) — redesigned to fit the needs of local entrepreneurs and business owners.
According to TMP President Atsuhiro Okamoto, the introduction of the all-new Toyota Lite Ace is the company’s response to the long-time request of customers to bring in an LCV.
“We are confident that the all-new Lite Ace is a game-changer, not just in uplifting the auto industry, but more importantly in improving the way homegrown businesses move people and goods,” he said.
In a statement, the country’s leading automotive distributor said that the model’s entry suits the demands of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) who are eyeing to receive high returns out of their every investment, noting that the all-new Toyota Lite Ace also possesses the quality, durability, and reliability that the brand is known for.
“This also translates to minimal downtimes for the vehicle, ensuring business continuity and avoiding time and financial losses or extra expenditures for repairs,” TMP explained.
The Japanese automaker’s local arm said that its 71-strong dealership network can deliver the newly launched offering to more businesses around the country, especially to regions where timely delivery of goods and services are critical.
Powering the all-new Toyota Lite Ace is a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that is mated to five-speed manual transmission. The vehicle features practical conveniences such as electric power steering and air-conditioning system.
Further, the all-new Toyota Lite Ace is currently offered in two body types: dropside pickup with an open bed, and the panel van with sliding enclosure. The panel van is ideal for parcel transportation while the dropside pickup version is perfect for agricultural and industrial needs.
Meanwhile, TMP shared that the Toyota Lite Ace is expected to have two more variants by September 2022: a utility van that is engineered to carry manpower and an aluminum van built for hauling dry goods.
Moreover, the all-new Toyota Lite Ace offers safety features such as airbags, anti-brake lock system and vehicle stability control (VSC) for the panel van.
The retail prices of the all-new Toyota Lite Ace are at P570,000 (dropside) and P655,000 (panel van). It is packaged with a free periodic maintenance good for one year or 20,000 kilometers.
To make it easier to acquire, the TMP is providing financing packages via Toyota Financial Services Philippines (TFSPH), wherein customers can take advantage of a weekly payment scheme with rates as low as P2,903.50 per week (dropside pickup).
