Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has confirmed the arrival of the Veloz.
The announcement from the leading automotive manufacturer came after the nameplate received a five-star rating from the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP).
In a press statement, TMP said that the official launch of the all-new Toyota Veloz will be on April 29, 2022.
Further, the company will start accepting reservations for the incoming offering at authorized Toyota dealerships on April 23.
“The upcoming introduction of the all-new Veloz marks another milestone for Toyota in the Philippines,” TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Sherwin Chualim was quoted as saying.
“Previously known as the top-grade variant of the Avanza compact MPV range, the Veloz has evolved to become a new standalone brand ready to claim its position as a subcompact SUV of choice for customers seeking new adventures,” he added.
According to TMP, the all-new Toyota Veloz, "combines confident stylish looks with features and performance that are perfect for adventures" and is targeted for customers “looking for a bold and spacious ride for family members and friends.”
No specific details have been shared yet with regard to its features, but the Japanese car manufacturer’s local distributor said that the price for the forthcoming model starts at P1.185 million.
The full details of the vehicle will be revealed via livestream at Toyota Motor Philippines Facebook and YouTube accounts.
The all-new Veloz will also be displayed at the BGC Amphitheater from April 29 to May 1 and on all Toyota dealerships, also starting on April 29.
To note, the nearing launch follows the introduction of the third-generation Avanza.
