Toyota PH eyes exceeding 2017 sales milestone next year
Following the return of demand on vehicle sales, the leadership of Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is eyeing to surpass its milestone in 2017 next year.

The company attained the milestone in 2017.During a luncheon meeting with the press, TMP President Atsuhiro Okamoto shared that the company is “looking at continued market recovery” that will help in exceeding the 183,000-unit sales milestone in 2023.
Okamoto expressed firm belief that the ambitious goal can be achieved through the new models that are set to be introduced next year. “New models are coming to help us achieve this and I am very excited to introduce them to you all soon. But for now, I cannot reveal anything yet,” he said.
At the same event, TMP Chair Alfred Ty shared that Toyota and Lexus have continuously retained leadership in the electric vehicle (EV) segment, noting that the two brands cornered 70 percent of EV sales in the country.
Based on the latest report from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), a total of 156,874 Toyota vehicles were sold in the full 11 months of 2022. This allowed TMP to corner 49.75-percent of the market.
