Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is eyeing to sell around 1,600 units of the all-new Wigo monthly in the local market.
The aforementioned monthly goal was shared to Carmudi Philippines after the model's latest version was officially launched last week at the Trinoma Activity Center in Quezon City.
Per TMP Vice President for Marketing Services Elvin Luciano, the figure is highly-achievable as the nameplate has a strong following in the country because of its "good track record among customers."
He also assured that those who are eyeing to buy a unit of the all-new Toyota Wigo may easily acquire one as there are no supply-related constraints for the newly-launched offering that is being sourced from Indonesia.
TMP President Atsuhiro Okamoto shared that since the compact hatchback was introduced in 2014, it has already rolled out more than 149,000 examples to customers nationwide.
“This is a very exciting launch for us at Toyota Motor Philippines because we know that the Wigo is one of the favorite Toyota models of Filipinos. The Wigo has given many new car buyers their memorable first car experience,” the TMP executive said.
Now bigger compared to its predecessor, the all-new Wigo is 3,760 millimeters long, 1,655 mm wide and 1,515 mm tall.
Its up-to-date amenities include electronic power steering wheel, smart keyless entry, and push start ignition system and the eight-inch infotainment system that is Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatible.
Powering the vehicle is a 1.0-liter engine that is paired to either a five-speed manual slushbox or continuously variable transmission.
Retailed in body color options namely Red Mica Metallic, Orange Metallic, Yellow SE, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic and White, the all-new Toyota Wigo comes in three variants with the following prices:
