Toyota PH rebrands used vehicle program

In its bid to further respond to the growing demand on flexible mobility solutions, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has re-energized its used vehicle program.

Previously known as Toyota Certified Used Vehicle (TCUV), the T-Sure Toyota Quality Pre-owned Cars (T-Sure) program provides customers a more affordable purchasing option without compromising quality, value, safety, and service.

During a roundtable meeting, TMP Senior Vice President for marketing Masatoshi Toiya explained the rebranding, saying that the initial letter stands for Toyota and “Sure” to convey trustworthiness. He also said that with the new name, clients can have peace of mind in transacting with a T-Sure dealer — whether trading in a vehicle or buying a used car.

Toiya noted that the Toyota saw the potential of the used-car market as the company considered that it is still in its infancy stage.

“We are closely collaborating with our dealer-network to grab this opportunity to leverage Toyota’s huge customer base and further elevate customer satisfaction and retention,” he added.

The aforementioned program has a systematic approach in assessing refurbishing, certifying, and issuing warranty to ensure the condition of every unit.

Per TMP, the major improvements in the program include the expansion of T-Sure dealer outlets around the country to 29 as of last month. The establishments offer trade-in deals and selling of pre-owned cars. The number of facilities will further increase to 33 by end of the year.

Further, customers can also expect fair pricing as the program utilizes a T-Sure Used Car app with a built-in pricing tool that shows the real-time price range of various models — depending on quality level and local market pricing.

What makes it even more enticing is that buyers may also take advantage of the financing scheme through Toyota Financial Services Philippines, with longer payment terms and expanded coverage up to nine-year old vehicles.

The product offerings under T-Sure are classified into three categories which are explained below:

• Toyota Certified Elite: premium product packaged with a one-year warranty on engine and transmission that can be claimed at any Toyota outlet 
• Toyota Value Plus: vehicles that have a three-month warranty on engine and transmission, which can be claimed at selling dealer only
• Toyota Value Lite: without warranty but went through the same stringent standard process of vehicle check to ensure its quality when driven out the dealer.

Moreover, those who bought pre-owned units at T-Sure may also avail packages from Toyota Insure and After Sales Service.

In a statement, TMP said that its T-Sure Program is anchored on Toyota’s commitment to quality, durability, reliability, and its philosophy to strengthen customer satisfaction and retention. It is also aligned with the brand’s vision of “Creating Mobility for All” by having a new avenue to people who want a vehicle without sacrificing quality.

Relatedly, TMP said that it eyeing to expand its customer base through the T-Sure Program “by rewarding customer loyalty with the best deal when they sell or trade-in their vehicle and by capturing customers who need quality pre-owned vehicles.”

Apart from Toyota Quality pre-owned cars, TMP said that dealers also source vehicles from current Toyota customers who wish to upgrade by trading in or selling their vehicle. TMP assured that the vehicle to be sold or traded-in will be assessed by highly skilled and accredited assessors and the results will be shared for transparency, guaranteeing that the owner gets the fair value of their vehicle.
