Transport cooperatives pick Foton F-Jeepney to power fleet

The Foton F-Jeepney is a common choice for transport cooperatives around the country to fit the demands of times.

In a statement, Foton Motor Philippines (FMPI) said that it is “proudly taking its part in the nationwide mobility development by intensifying the country-wide presence of its modernized F-Jeepney.”

“All over the country, the Foton F-jeepney is capturing wide market acceptance thanks to its spacious interior, long engine life, and solid overall performance matched by superb after-sales service,” the local distributor of the Chinese vehicle manufacturer said.

The aforementioned model, FMPI said, is compliant with the most stringent standards locally such as the Philippine National Standard (PNS) 2126:2017 and Department of Natural Resources (DENR) Administrative Order No. 2015-04.

It comes with standard features such as closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera system, GPS tracker, automatic fare collection system, Wi-Fi connectivity, and air-conditioning system to ensure the safety and coziness of public commuters.

Gerona Communities Transport Service Cooperative (GCTSC) Chairman Eduardo Millado shared that the engine provides sufficient torque even if the vehicle is in full capacity. “Kami sa Gerona Communities, ang talagang goal namin is to provide safe and comfortable commuting experience sa publiko, kaya iyang unit ng Foton ang pinili namin (Our goal here at Gerona Communities is to provide a safe and comfortable commuting experience to the public, so we chose a Foton unit),” he added.

Powered by the Euro IV-compliant engine F-Jeepney contributes to a cleaner, greener, and more eco-friendly environment by notably decreasing air pollution.

“The PUV modernization program is a relevant program to address the issue of climate change, for us to get involved in the restoration of our environment, in which the transport sector contributes much carbon emission,” PITAMCO Transport Cooperative Chairman Ma. Flordeliza Albiso noted.

The Foton F-Jeepney is available in three variants namely the F-Jeepney F29 (29-passenger capacity), F-Jeepney F24 (24-passenger capacity), and the FOTON F11 (11-passenger capacity).
