Triumph unveils new Speed Triple 1200 RR

Triumph has officially unveiled its newest naked bike, the new Speed Triple 1200 RR. The motorcycle brand touts the 1200cc motorcycle as the perfect blend of pure elegance, exhilaration, and attitude.

We were treated to a slew of teaser photos and short video clips earlier this week, but this time, we get to see the new Speed Triple in all its glory.

Apart from its iconic rounded headlamps, the new Speed Triple 1200 RR gets new carbon fiber detailing on the tank, fairings, mudguards, and cockpit. These carbon fiber trims go well with its new twin color schemes — Red Hopper/Storm Grey and Crystal White/Storm Grey — with rich, high-quality, candy paint.

Additional color-coded belly pan and seat cowls improve its overall appeal.

Taking center stage is a full-color five-inch TFT instrument panel outfitted with My Triumph connectivity system. Here the rider can access five riding modes which include Road, Rain, Sport, Track, and a “Rider-configurable” setting.

Triumph also gave the new Speed Triple rider-focused features which include clip-on handlebars, a tailored footpeg position, and an accessible 830mm seat height.

Power will come from a lightweight, low-inertia engine that peaks at 177hp at 10,750rpm and 125Nm of almost instantaneous torque at 9,000rpm.

The new Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR also rides on 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels with the new Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tires. New Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 electronically adjustable semi-active suspension will provide the naked bike a smoother ride while Brembo Stylema brakes with a linked braking system and an adjustable Brembo MCS lever ensures optimum stopping power.

Additional ride-enhancing technology including a full keyless system, illuminated switch cubes, and fully adjustable cruise control.

Pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
