Tsukui stands up as Isuzu PH’s newest president
MANILA: Mikio Tsukui has been hailed as the newest president of Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC).

Tsukui has worked for Isuzu for more than three decades.The company’s latest steward was introduced during a formal turnover ceremony last April 24 — receiving the position from his successor, Tetsuya Fujita. Per IPC, the previous top honcho will return to the headquarters after a successful tenure in the country.
“I am honored to lead Isuzu Philippines Corporation and continue our mission of delivering reliable and innovative transport solutions to our customers. Together with our dedicated team, we will strive to enhance our services and contribute to the growth of the Philippine automotive industry,” Tsukui said in his inauguration speech.

Further, he also said that he is keen on sustaining Isuzu’s stronghold as the top truck brand in the country. To do so, he said that the company will introduce more aggressive offerings in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment and continuously expand IPC’s dealership network across the country.
“As competition in the automotive market continues to intensify with new brands entering the scene, I firmly believe that IPC is well-positioned for sustained success,” Tsukui shared.
“We have the right product lineup that addresses the needs of Filipino consumers, and our excellent aftersales service sets us apart. Isuzu vehicles are known for their durability and long-term value, which is why we continue to enjoy the trust of our customers. Our strong brand reputation, built over decades, remains one of our greatest strengths,” he added.
Tsukui’s credentials
Under Tsukui's belt is his more than three decades of experience within the Isuzu Group. He previously held leadership roles in China and Europe where he became instrumental in enhancing the brand’s market positioning and operational efficiency.

Aside from that, he managed business strategies in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region that include Malaysia where he played a pivotal role in regional growth initiatives.
“His diverse international experience equips him with a broad perspective and a deep understanding of dynamic market environments,” the company noted
Fujita’s achievements
Meanwhile, Fujita has led several initiatives that boosted the firm to where it is now, which is expected to be carried forward by Tsukui.

This includes:
- Championing IPC’s "Road to Progress" campaign by teasing the introduction Isuzu EV trucks
- Further accelerated the expansion and modernization of its dealer network
