Vespa Philippines is now offering a neo-classic option for the Sprint as the said model is now offered with a thin-film Transistor (TFT) screen for its dashboard.
A fashion-forward model that has stayed true to its roots in terms of overall design, the new Vespa Sprint S with TFT dashboard is only available in two colors, Bronzo Antico steel body with black finish, and Nero Opaco with bronze finish.
The new Vespa Sprint S with TFT features the Vespa MIA and the new Vespa App. Once a smartphone is connected to the Vespa Sprint S (via Bluetooth), the TFT display will show all notifications such as incoming calls and messages in the center of the screen. The rider may manage the calls through the small joystick on the left-hand control block. Riders with iOS or Android mobile devices may connect to the new Vespa Sprint S with TFT dashboard.
Aside from that, the Vespa app provides useful information such as riding parameters and travel statistics — which can be viewed on the smartphone. “The Vespa MIA technology optimizes Vespa Sprint S usage whether riding in an urban or non-urban environment, thus enhancing the travel experience,” Vespa Philippines shared.
Its saddle wears a diamond design to add a more sophisticated touch to the scooter.
The 12-inch aluminum alloy rims for the new Vespa Sprint S are in matte black (on bronze body) and bronze (on black body).
Still powering the new Vespa Sprint S with TFT is the one-cylinder, four-stroke 150cc iGet engine, air-cooled and equipped with electronic injection and three-valve distribution. The control unit contains a barometric sensor to ensure that it always runs on optimum combustion under all conditions.
For its suspension, the new Vespa Sprint S with TFT has a single arm with helical spring and single double-acting hydraulic shock absorber in the front and double-acting shock absorber (adjustable to four positions at preloading ABS 1 channels) at the rear.
The price for the new Vespa Sprint S with TFT dashboard is P245,000.
Further, both Autohub Group of Companies President Willy Tee Ten and Vespa Philippines General manager Bimbo Fontanilla assured that those who prefer the analog gauges may still get it as it is still available in Vespa showrooms around the country.
