HANOI: Following the brand’s official launch in the country, VinFast Philippines is already keen on bringing in another model that will join the initial list of offerings.

“We are considering bringing the VF 3, which is a very popular model in Vietnam, to the Philippine market this 2024,” the chief executive said.
Should the company launch the mini sport utility vehicle to the Philippine market, the roster will expand to five — joining the VinFast VF e34, VF 5, VF 7, and VF 9 in its stable.

While for the official announcement regarding its arrival in the country, here are some notable bits of information about the VinFast VF 3.
Sporting a contemporary look, the boxy crossover (which seems to be appealing to the younger market) measures 3,190 millimeters (mm) long; 1,679 mm wide; and 1,622 mm tall with a 2,075 mm wheelbase and 191 mm ground clearance.
For its interior, the VinFast VF 3 has the capacity to transport four passengers and carry as much as 285 liters of cargo inside the cabin. It also comes with a 10-inch touchscreen entertainment system.
Powering the vehicle is a 32-kilowatt electric motor in rear-wheel-drive format. The aforementioned mill, which can dish out 110 Newton-meters of torque, allows the vehicle to go 0-50 kilometers per hour in 5.3 seconds.
The mill gets its juice from the 18.64 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery that lets the vehicle cover as much as 210 kilometers if fully charged (according to New European Driving Cycle standards). The battery can be charged 10 to 70 percent in a span of 36 minutes.
