Following its debut CES 2024, Vinfast has confirmed the introduction of the VF 3 to the Philippines.
Based on the initial invitation shared to Carmudi Philippines, the electrified mini crossover is eyed to have its local launch on September 17.
Last June, VinFast Philippines Chief Executive Officer Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc shared the company’s target of bringing the mini sport utility vehicle (SUV) to the country.
“We are considering bringing the VF 3, which is a very popular model in Vietnam, to the Philippine market this 2024,” she said.
In a statement, Vinfast noted that the company already turned over the initial batch of VF 3 units to buyers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and is planning to sell at least 20,000 units before the year ends.
Below are some notable details about the soon-to-be-launched four-seater vehicle.
The VF 3 is 3,190 millimeters (mm) long; 1,679 mm wide; and 1,622 mm tall — making it the smallest member of the Vinfast stable in the country. It also has a 2,075-mm wheelbase and a 191-mm ground clearance.
Powering the vehicle is an electric motor that can deliver as much as 40 horses and 110 Newton-meters of torque.
In addition, the Vinfast VF 3 comes in nine body color options made up of four standard and five premium hues.
Further, Vinfast is expected to be within the sub-P800,000 price point.
“As VinFast expands beyond Vietnam, the VF 3's success story could continue in the Philippines and beyond. Offering affordability, customization, and an eco-friendly alternative to gas-guzzling SUVs, the VF 3 is more than just a car; it’s a symbol of change in Southeast Asia’s evolving automotive landscape,” the company stated.
