Volkswagen ID.3 to hit dealerships next week
It has been four weeks since Volkswagen started accepting pre-orders for the limited ID.3 1ST, and the company has now decided to open the ordering system to the public next Monday, July 20, 2020.
Seven pre-configured ID.3 models will be made available at various dealerships all across Europe, along with the appropriate charging equipment. All seven models will be eligible for the maximum state subsidy of €9,480 (Php 535,999) granted as an environmental bonus in Germany. Subsidies will also be available for the ID.3 in many other European countries.
“We are overwhelmed by the loyalty shown by so many pre-bookers. A large majority of these customers have already ordered their 1ST from dealers. Other customers, who have had to wait for the start of production sales, will now be able to order. From July 20, they can choose between seven preconfigured ID.3 models with the most popular features at their dealerships,” shares Jürgen Stackmann, Volkswagen Brand Board Member for Sales.
"I am convinced that e-mobility will now make its breakthrough,” added Stackmann. "Our model names like Family, Style, Tech and Tour already reveal that we will have the right ID.3 for everyone – at an attractive price. This way, we are realizing our vision of enabling emission free mobility for all.”
Six out of seven models are based on the basic model ID.3 ProPerformance. With a 58-kWh battery, it has a range of up to 420 km on a single charge with the 150 kW Performance rear-wheel-drive system. The drive system delivers a maximum torque of 310 Nm, and can propel the car from a standstill to 60 km/h in just 3.4 seconds.
The base model ID.3 ProPerformance starts at €35,574.95 (Php 2 million), but the pricing can easily get higher with optional equipment packages. Each model comes with a navigation system for range-optimized navigation, Adaptive Cruise Control and the “Comfort” telephony function with inductive charging on board.
The ID.3 “Life” is priced at €37,787.72 (Php 2.13 million), and is intended for customers who want an economical entry-level product without sacrificing comfort. The comfort package for this variant includes heated steering wheel and seats, and two additional USB-C ports for easy charging.
The “Style” model is for customers who value an eye-catching design. It starts at €40,946.04 (Php 2.3 million), and comes with the major design package upgrades such as matrix LED headlamps, LED tail lights with dynamic swiping function, and a panoramic glass roof.
To get a little bit of everything, the ID.3 “Business” is the car to purchase. The design package it comes with includes matrix LED headlamps and tinted windows, comfort package and assistant package with rear-view camera and the “Keyless Access” locking system all for €41,287.22 or Php 2.33 million.

The ID.3 (Max) retails for €43,680.32 (Php 2.46 million) and offers the absolute maximum of everything: design, technology, sport, and comfort. It comes equipped with all the equipment packages available, along with an electric 12-way massage seat, progressive steering and DCC (Dynamic Cruise Control) on board.
The 7th pre-configured model is the ID.3 “Tour," which can also be ordered starting on July 20. This particular variant is based on the four-seat ProS model that allows for a bigger battery (77 kWh) with a range of up to 550 km, and it starts at €40,936.31 or Php 2.31 million. The Tour variant also comes with a Heads-up Display and Sound package, matrix LED headlamps, comfort package, 12-way massage seat and assistant package with all driver assistance systems included, together with 19-inch aluminum wheels.
