Volkswagen ID. Space Vizzion Set for 2021 Production
Eager to leave its disastrous emissions scandal behind, Volkswagen is moving forward with its electrification efforts at a speedy pace, beginning with the ID. family that includes the ID.R, ID.3, and ID. Buggy.
Previewing the latest addition to its ID electric family, VW released a rendering of the ID.Space Vizzion, the seventh member of the ID. family, ahead of its LA Auto Show unveiling. The car has been confirmed for production late 2021.

Space Vizzion as “a wagon of tomorrow that combine the aerodynamic characteristics of a gran turismo with the spaciousness of an SUV,” which experts expect to be imbued with the same MEB-based powertrain as the sedan version that debuted at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
If this is the case, the car will have a combined 302 horsepower from two motors—a 101-hp at the front and 201-hp at the rear. It will also have a 665 km range based on the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) cycle.
Volkswagen claims a the cockpit will be fully digitized along with the use of sustainable materials such as ‘Appleskin’, an artificial leather sourced partially from leftovers of apple juice production.
