Volkswagen PH Holds 'Ultimate' Track Day for Volkswagen Golf GTI Owners
Volkswagen Philippines, the country's number one European car brand, recently staged the "Volkswagen Driving Experience" for its Volkswagen Golf GTI owners and potential customers at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.
Held in partnership with dealers Volkswagen Bonifacio Global City and Volkswagen Quezon Avenue, the track day gave Golf GTI owners the opportunity to experience for themselves the performance, handling, and ride capabilities of their own Golf GTI units.
Apart from offering Golf GTI owners the chance to push their vehicles to its limits in a safe, secure, international-standard raceway, Volkswagen Philippines also gave would-be buyers the chance to test drive not only a Golf GTI unit but also a Golf GTI equipped with a Oettinger Aerodynamic kit and ABT Power-up Module.
With the Oettinger Aerodynamic package that's comprised of a two-piece front spoiler with a splitter, side skirts and a rear apron insert with diffuser, the Golf GTI looks and feels even more at home on the race track while the ABT Power-Up Module teased test-drivers a taste with its 32-percent bump in horsepower and 20-percent increase in torque--from 217 to 286 hp and from 350 to 420 Nm, respectively--to push the high-performance hatchback from 0 to 100 kph in 5.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 254 kph.
According to Volkswagen Philippines, the Oettinger Aerodynamic kit and ABT Power-up Module are dealer options "and do not affect applicable warranties on the Golf GTI units fitted with them."
