Volkswagen simultaneously launches ID.7 in Europe, China, North America

Volkswagen has simultaneously launched the ID.7 in major markets namely, Europe, China, and North America.

Its arrival in the abovementioned regions heralds Volkswagen’s bolstered electric offensive with the German carmaker planning to release 10 new ID. models by 2026.

“Parallel to our electric offensive in Europe, we are also focusing on Asia and North America. The ID.7 is an extremely important model for Volkswagen in China, Canada, and the USA. It impresses with plenty of space, innovative assist systems, and modern features like a high-end infotainment system. Our customers will receive a genuine premium package with the first all-electric flagship model from Volkswagen,” commented Volkswagen Member of the Board of Management for Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales Imelda Labbé.

The Volkswagen ID.7 is the brand’s latest all-electric model. In China, the ID.7 rounds off the top of the range, alongside the ID.3, ID.4, and ID.63 electric product lines offered there.

Meanwhile, the North American market will get the Volkswagen ID.Buzz this year. The ID.7, the Wolfsburg-based brand explained, will be available in the region in 2024. Together with the ID.4 produced in Chattanooga, the ID.7 and ID. Buzz will accelerate the electric offensive in America.

The ID.7 will be produced in the German facility in Emden for the European and North American markets. Volkswagen has invested more than one billion euros in the transformation of the North German plant into an electric mobility production site. In China, the counterparts of the ID.7 are to be produced locally.
