Volvo Cars sells more than 300K units in H1 2023

In a report, Volvo Cars revealed that it sold 341,691 cars in the first half of the year.

Per the Swedish car brand, its sales from January-June 2023 translated to a 17 percent increase when compared to its sales from the same time period last year.

In Europe — its market of origin — Volvo Cars sold 146,943 automobiles.

Meanwhile in its major overseas markets such as the United States (US) and China, Volvo Cars delivered 59,750 and 78,526 cars respectively.

In other regions, Volvo Cars managed to hand out a total of 56,472 vehicles to its customers.

June sales

In June alone, Volvo Cars made 66,379 deliveries to its customers globally. This figure reflected a 33 percent growth compared to its sales in the first half of 2022.

When broken down, Volvo Cars’ June sales show 27,196 cars sold in Europe, 12,933 vehicles sold in the US, and 15,405 automobiles sold in China.

The remaining 10,845 units were sold in other regions.

Best-selling models

Volvo Cars’ best-selling model for the month of June was the Volvo XC60 followed by the XC40 and the XC90.
