According to Volvo it will soon introduce a more adventurous Cross Country variant of the EX30.Its would-be owners can choose between Single Motor Extended Range or Twin Motor Performance, the former prioritizes range while the latter leans more towards performance.
Built for those who prefer to maximize range, the Volvo EX30 Single Motor Extended Range variant is equipped with a Lithium Manganese Cobalt Oxide extended range battery, which produces its energy efficiently.
The said variant offers an estimated range of approximately 442.5 kilometers on a single charge.
Meanwhile, the Twin Motor Performance variant boasts an all-wheel-drive drivetrain. Thanks to a second e-motor, the said grade can put out as much as 422 horsepower and can zoom from zero to approximately 100 kilometers per hour in 3.4 seconds.
The Volvo EX30 Twin Motor Performance, the Gothenburg-headquartered brand pointed out, is officially its fastest-accelerating car ever.
And speaking of fast, those looking to own the Volvo EX30 will be able to charge its battery from 10 to 80 percent in a little over 25 minutes.
“The fully electric EX30 might be our smallest ever SUV, but it’s a big deal for our customers and a big deal for us as a company. We like to say the EX30 is small yet mighty, because it delivers on everything you’d want from a Volvo but in a smaller package. Like any Volvo, it’s an outstanding product which is safe and designed around people and their needs,” Volvo Cars Chief Executive Jim Rowan was quoted saying.
Volvo also announced that the EX30 electric SUV will soon get a variant called Cross Country. According to the automotive marque, the EX30 Cross Country will offer a more adventurous take on the new nameplate.
Per Volvo Cars, the EX30 Cross Country will come with a range of bespoke features, such as more ground clearance, 19-inch black wheels, and the option of 18-inch wheels with bespoke tires.
Additionally, customers can expect it to get skid plates, special black panels, and stylish Cross Country branding.
The Volvo EX30 is priced at US$34,950 (around P1.961 million).
