Volvo EX90 debuts at CES 2023

The highly-anticipated Volvo EX90 made its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Dubbed Volvo’s smartest vehicle yet, the EX90 is heavily packed with tons of technologies like state-of-the-art sensors and an onboard system that allows the vehicle to suggest actions based on situations.

“Your Volvo EX90 won’t be just a new car; it will be a highly advanced computer on wheels. To take full advantage of the core computer system, Volvo Cars has collaborated with some of the most advanced companies in their fields to deliver smarter, safer, more sustainable driving,” Volvo said in a press release.

True to its claim, the Volvo EX90 is being shown in connection with both Google and Luminar displays, showcasing new technologies developed with Volvo Cars — all of which are to be announced and demonstrated later this week.

Additionally, the Volvo EX90 is made with sustainability in mind. The interior of the sport utility vehicle boasts appointments made from recycled materials. Further, they are seamlessly incorporated into the vehicle’s cabin and are crafted using stylish Scandinavian design.

Some of the highlights inside the said cabin include the Volvo EX90’s 14.5-inch center screen with Google directly integrated into the system. Google apps and services including hands-free help from Google Assistant, Google Maps navigation, and other apps on Google Play all come built-in.

To note, Volvo Cars is the first automotive brand to allow direct integration with Google Assistant on vehicles.

Of course, the Volvo EX90 will also be compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay.

Per the Swedish automotive brand, the 2024 Volvo EX90 is now available for pre-order in the United States (US) and is priced at US$80,000 (around P4.468 million).
