Volvo PH to showcase hybrid range at 2022 MIAS

Volvo Philippines expressed its readiness to showcase its hybrid vehicle range at the forthcoming 2022 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) on April 7-10 at the World Trade Center.

In a statement, the Swedish automaker’s local distributor said that the brand’s Boost Hybrid Range will occupy its exhibit area at the four-day event. 

The vehicles to be displayed will be powered with four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engines connected to a hybrid system that gives out up to 313 horses and 460 Nm of torque.

The company said that the aforementioned roster “brings smoothness and electric power to every drive.”

According to Volvo Philippines, the hybrid system — which is composed of a 48-volt battery and Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) — supports the combustion engine for reduced fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions. It also assured customers that there is no need for charging as it harvests energy every time the brake is used.

Aside from that, the 2022 range features intelligent design such as the LED lamps, among others, that brings practical benefits to the car owner.

The range also comes with smart features such as the advanced air purifier in Volvo’s world-first air quality system.
