Honda brings the all-new Honda Civic Type R to the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon straight from the Suzuka Circuit. Honda released a video of the new Type-R getting put through its paces at the demanding Suzuka Circuit in Ino, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan. You can check it out here.
The new Honda Civic Type R attends the Japanese auto show wearing a special camouflage designed with red Rs and outlines of previous Type R models.
The all-new Honda Civic Type R adopts the model’s 11th-gen styling with the hatch sporting a two-part front grille flanked by slim headlamps on each side. By the looks of the camouflaged prototype, it seems that Honda also equipped it with a bodykit that draws out its sporty side. It also seems to have been fitted with a moderately sized rear wing and an amazing triple exhaust.
Fans of the souped-up Civic won’t have to wait too long to see its final form as Honda confirms the new Civic Type R will officially be unveiled later this year.
