Aston Martin is ready to turn the page and present the next chapter of the DBX story where, the British luxury carmaker said, “new performance standards” will be set.
A short 14-second clip was released on Aston Martin’s official YouTube channel showing the SUV’s model-specific wheels and carbon fiber trims, giving us a glimpse of what could be a sporty version of the famed family hauler. You can check the video here.
Many would agree that the video reveals a little less than what most expected. That said, we snooped around Aston Martin’s Twitter page to see what was up. Lo and behold, we’ve found a picture showing the silhouette of the Gaydon-based carmaker’s luxury SUV.
And while the image only shows the vehicle’s outline, we can make out its larger roof-mounted spoiler, a more profound rear diffuser, and a similarly large front splitter. With more aggressive body kits, many fans suspect that it’ll also come with suspension tweaks and possibly a slightly beefier powerplant, but all that is still to be confirmed.
In addition, Aston Martin’s claim of the new DBX being “the world’s most powerful luxury SUV” could mean that it can beat the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT and the Lamborghini Urus, in terms of horsepower at least.
Though no name has been officially issued, word on the web says that the new DBX will bear the suffix S, as with other sporty versions of the Vantage and Vanquish models.
The new DBX will be unveiled on February 1, streamed via a dedicated website.
