WATCH: Chevrolet teases performance-oriented Blazer EV

Chevrolet just dropped a video on its official YouTube channel teasing a performance-oriented version of the automotive brand’s electrified mid-size crossover SUV.

Not much can be made out from the video except for the “SS” — short for Super Sport — branding on the Blazer’s wheels. Super Sport, for the uninitiated, is a signature performance option package offered by the Detroit-based automaker on a limited number of its vehicles.

The all-electric Chevrolet Blazer joins the ranks of SS-wearing nameplates including the Camaro, Chevelle, El Camino, Impala, Monte Carlo, Nova, and select Chevy pickup trucks.

Word about the Blazer SS quickly spread after the golden bowtie brand announced the high-performance variant at CES 2022.

According to Chevrolet, the Blazer SS EV will make its debut later this year and will be made available in spring (from March to June) of 2023.
