The first batch of Ford F-150 Lightning pickup trucks are now being prepared as the Blue Oval Brand looks to deliver the electrified version of one of its best-selling nameplates. Ford boss Jim Farley posted a video on his Twitter showing “a train of F-150 Lightning (units) loading up at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center.”

Ford’s F-150 Lightning is scheduled for delivery sometime this spring (from March to June) which means that it will reach dealerships in the US soon.
The Ford F-150 Lightning offers an impressive suite of features starting with its powerful dual electric motors and its high-capacity battery. On paper, the Ford F-150 Lightning is said to make 563 horses with 1,050Nm of almost instantaneous torque, sending the electrified pickup truck from standstill to 60 in as fast as four seconds. In terms of range, the Ford F-150 Lightning is said to deliver about 230 miles using the Standard Range Battery and about 320 miles using the Extended Range Battery.
Other notable features include off-road 4X4 capabilities, on-demand reverse charging, a larger-than-life infotainment screen, and an intelligent range system, among others.
The Ford F-150 Lightning is offered in four variants in the US beginning with the Ford F-150 Lightning Pro, Ford F-150 Lightning XLT, Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat, and the Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum. They are priced at US$39,974, US$52,974, US$67,474, and US$90,874 respectively.
We checked out Ford’s US website and, apparently, the F-150 Lightning pickup truck is no longer available for retail order due to high demand.
