WATCH: Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles get Amazon Alexa

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) announced the introduction of Amazon Alexa across the two brands' vehicle portfolios. According to JLR, all new and existing Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles equipped with Pivi Pro will be able to enjoy the benefits of intuitive voice-enabled experiences. New models will get this feature as standard, while over 200,000 existing cars equipped with the Pivi Pro can upgrade through a software-over-the-air update.

    The integration of Amazon Alexa is part of Jaguar Land Rover’s Reimagine strategy which represents a step-change in its connected services capability and will deliver a modern luxury experience for customers. It will also accelerate JLR’s transformation into a digital leader in the automotive industry.

    Engineering teams of both Jaguar Land Rover and Amazon worked in close partnership to ensure the seamless integration of Alexa with Pivi Pro and allow Jaguar and Land Rover owners to enjoy the same Alexa experience in their homes as with their vehicles.

We’re excited to deliver that same delightful, convenient experience to Jaguar and Land Rover customers — and because Alexa is always getting smarter, new features and capabilities will be added over time and delivered to their vehicles automatically,” said Alexa Automotive International Head Christian Mentz.
